Meet Ella and Kim
With over 45 years in the industry combined, Ella and Kim's mission is to create a safe, welcoming salon environment. Kim opened what we now call Studio AH over 25 years ago after working with some of Brisbane’s top hairdressers, she then convinced Ella to start her school based apprenticeship at 15 which is where Ella fell in love with the world of hairdressing. Ella and Kim have had the opportunity to work alongside top artists for fashion shows, travel the globe for conferences and create beautiful, bespoke hair in salon.

Birkdale Fair Shopping Centre is where we called home for 16 years before outgrowing the shopping centre life. We then moved to our current space in Wellington Point where we spent only 4 years before outgrowing that space again... With the love that we had for the village life at Wello we expanded our space to a 2 level salon and added a barbershop 'The Barbers Chair and Co'. Originally founded by Kim as Artistic Hair design we decided after 26 years of trade we were overdue for a glowup, which is where Studio AH was born.

The stylists at Artistic Hair Design offer a bespoke service specialising in sun kissed colour, technical haircuts and multiple extension methods. Come and relax in our home by the bay featuring wood and organic tones that bring our space to life.

At Artistic Hair Design we only use the highest quality products during your appointment and sell a number of ranges such as Eleven Australia, R&Co and AEDE. We also provide expert advice to create a bespoke home haircare plan to ensure your hair looks and feels its best everyday.
